1 Week Sailing from Biograd to Vis

In this exciting experience, we set sail from the "white sea town" (Biograd) significant for being the older medieval capital of the Croatian Kingdom. We will continue sailing towards Maslinica. The 3th day we dock in Vis, a well knowed battlefield in the WW2. Back to Noth we sail to Sibenik archipelago, a great opportunity to taste the local food and discover the St. James cathedral, listed on the UNESCO World Heritage. Finally you can see the National Park Krka.
We reserve right to change the trip plan any time according to weather conditions. Boat price must be paid via bank account 50% for reservation and 50% no latter than 4 weeks before embarcation date. All bank transaction costs must be covered. Obligatory extra: Tourist tax 1€/person/day. We have boats from 6,60m to 13,80m. The price above (1.210€) corresponds to a 10m lenght boat. Let's start with a beautiful sunset!
Meeting late afternoon in marina in Biograd na Moru, accommodating on the boat, setting final paperwork, buying food and drinks for the boat and sailing out to island Vrgada. Time to have a first swim and afterwards a dinner on the boat or in local restaurant. Opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunset.
Heading to Solta
In the morning swimming, breakfast and leisure time. When everyone is ready sailing down south towards small place Maslinica on island Šolta. One stop on the way for lunch and swimming break. In the evening sightseeing of the village and leisure time.
Vis a piece of WW2 history
In the morning after everyone is ready sailing out towards island Vis which is not very far. Arriving to port of Vis early afternoon, docking and having some light lunch (to be ready for dinner). In the afternoon renting scooters or car and exploring inside of island Vis. From the end of the WW2 till 1992. military troops ware on the island and there are some interesting leftovers from that period. Also, there are some nice views and nature spots to be seen. Evening is time for a dinner at a special place – small family owned restaurant with a home made food prepared traditional way in great ambient in the inside of island. After dinner returning to port and going for a drink in local bar or time to crash in the bed after a very busy day.
Tasting Local Food
Today is time to start going back North. After little less sailing yesterday today is time to spend the day on the boat and sail to Šibenik archipelago. In the afternoon arriving on island Žirje or Kaprije (depending the wind conditions) and having some leisure and sightseeing time. In the evening again possibility for some homemade food for dinner. Most of the islands are very beautiful and have great unspoiled nature, but Žirje is known for people driving around in old and rusty cars – sometimes it that bad condition you can’t believe. Great opportunity to try “Peka” – old Mediterranean way of preparing food.
Sailing in Sibenik archipelago
Today is a great opportunity to do some leisure sailing and explore beauties of Šibenik archipelago. Few bigger and a lot of rocks and smaller islands are view you will love for sure. Every few hours you will have time to make a swim stop and enjoy the sun and the see. If you are interested in the afternoon you can do 1-2 hours sightseeing of historic city of Šibenik and check St. James cathedral which is on the UNESCO Worlds heritage list. Late afternoon we will sail up the river Krka to reach small town Skradin.
Visiting National Park Krka
In the morning you can go and see the National park Krka. First boat to park leaves at 8 a.m. and it is very good if you can get up early and catch first few of them to avoid the crowd. You spend few hours in park and return by lunch time. Sailing down the river back to the sea. Some sailing, some swim stops and in the late afternoon arriving at island Murter. To avoid queue on Friday stopping on fuel station to fill up the boat.
Sailing from Murter to Biograd
Leisure sailing from Murter around some small islands towards our starting point – Biograd. Stop for lunch and swimming around mid day. Late afternoon/early evening arriving to marina in Biograd. Time to do some sightseeing of Biograd, have last dinner. Overnight on boat.
